Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University places significant emphasis on the development of physical education and sports, particularly volleyball. Volleyball is one of the leading sports at the university and plays an important role in the educational process, students’ athletic lives, and the research and methodological activities of the Department of Physical Education and Teaching Methods. The university takes particular pride in the “KSPU” women’s team, which consists of current students and alumni. The team is a multiple winner of city competitions, successfully represents the university at tournaments of various levels, and demonstrates a high level of athletic skill.

A notable achievement was the “KSPU” women’s team’s third-place finish in the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian “Side by Side” Student League. An important area for the development of volleyball is the activity of the “KSPU-2” team, composed of female students from general secondary schools. The creation of this team helps popularize volleyball among young people, provides career guidance for prospective students, and ensures continuity in the training of female athletes. Already in its first year, the team achieved significant athletic results, placing in city-level competitions.

A key aspect of volleyball’s development is the university’s collaboration with the “Kryvbas” women’s volleyball club, which brings together experienced athletes, current students, and alumni of KSPU. This collaboration helps improve athletic training, facilitate the exchange of experience, develop student volleyball, and promote the sport in Kryvyi Rih and the Dnipropetrovsk region. By combining academic, training, competitive, and research activities, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University creates favorable conditions for the development of volleyball, the training of high-level athletes, and the preparation of future physical education teachers who are capable of effectively implementing modern teaching methods and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
