Sport at Classical Private University
Sport at Classical Private University (CPU) is much more than an academic discipline or an extracurricular activity. It is an integral part of the University’s philosophy, fostering strong, responsible, and goal-oriented individuals capable of achieving excellence both in their professional careers and in life.
The centre of sports education at the University is the Tetiana Samolenko Institute of Health, Sport and Tourism, which has been educating highly qualified professionals in the fields of physical education and sport, adaptive physical education, and tourism for many years. The educational process combines modern teaching methods, scientific research, coaching practice, and active student participation in university sports. The University’s greatest pride is its graduates and students who successfully represent Ukraine at both national and international levels. The name of Tetiana Samolenko, Olympic champion as well as World and European champion, has become a symbol of the University’s sporting excellence. In recognition of her outstanding achievements, the Institute of Health, Sport and Tourism bears her name, and her remarkable career continues to inspire new generations of students.
Among the University’s graduates are successful coaches, educators, sports administrators, military personnel, and athletes working both in Ukraine and abroad. The University’s reputation has been strengthened by distinguished alumni such as Parviz Nanaibov, Denys Minin, Maksym Nykolenko, Kiriukhina, and many others, whose professional achievements demonstrate that quality education, dedication, and a passion for sport create outstanding opportunities for professional success.

The University’s sports infrastructure enables the effective training of athletes and future specialists in physical education and sport, providing excellent conditions for academic classes, athletic development, specialized training in team sports, martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, general physical training, as well as organizing sports festivals, championships, tournaments, Universiades, and health-enhancing activities at a high organizational standard.
Practical training is an essential component of the educational process. Even under martial law, the University continues to develop student sport. The educational process has been adapted through the use of modern digital technologies, enabling students to successfully combine academic studies, athletic training, participation in competitions, and research activities. The CPU sports community continues to demonstrate resilience, unity, and a strong commitment to progress, proving that Ukrainian sport remains vibrant and continues to achieve success despite current challenges.
