Leonid Yuzkov Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law

Khmelnytskyi University of Management and Law is a higher education institution of the IV level of accreditation, operating under regional municipal ownership.

The university runs 6 intensive sports sections with advanced training profiles: football, track and field, volleyball (men’s and women’s), and basketball (men’s and women’s). The university’s infrastructure includes an outdoor multi-sport game court (designed for volleyball, basketball, and mini-football/futsal) which is slated for modern retrofitting, a dedicated sports training room within the student dormitory, and leased premium sports halls at the Regional Center for Physical Education of Student Youth (OCFVUM) and the Khmelnytskyi Polytechnic College of Lviv Polytechnic National University (KPK NULP). These locations host the structured section workflows across sports disciplines, engaging 96 active students under the professional instruction of the department’s faculty.

The university is a permanent participant in the Municipal Spartakiad among HEIs of the III–IV levels of accreditation. Our students regularly match skills against the strongest teams in the city, such as Khmelnytskyi National University, the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the Khmelnytskyi Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy—institutions that compete at the level of the Championships of Ukraine and international arenas. Notable successes include the brilliant performance of the men’s basketball team, who emerged as city champions, alongside the table tennis team (securing 2nd place) and the chess team (securing 3rd place).

The university administration attaches great importance to the development of cue sports (billiards). A professional billiard table installed in the assembly hall of the university dormitory provides an excellent base to select the finest players for municipal tournaments. This is reflected in our student records for the City Championship, where they have consistently captured the champion titles over the past three years. Furthermore, the university varsity squad “Femida Starlife” is a constant competitor in the Municipal Premier League Open Futsal Championship.

With the comprehensive backing of the university administration, varsity teams actively enter regional tournaments. Based on recent records, the varsity basketball team won silver medals in the Student League and the Regional 3×3 Universiade. In the Regional Weightlifting Championship, Vladyslava Hladkova captured the bronze medal.

Valuable ranking points for the university in the All-Ukrainian Universiade were secured by the varsity basketball team, which competed in the semifinal stages and entered the ranks of the top 32 teams in Ukraine, while Vladyslava Hladkova earned a highly commendable 9th place in national weightlifting.
