The Department of Physical Education integrates physical culture and sports into the daily lives of students, faculty, and other university staff.

Competitions between faculty varsity teams in association football, volleyball, table tennis, chess, powerlifting, and futsal are organized and conducted at a high administrative and methodological level. Annually, with the support of the university administration and the staff trade union, the Department of Physical Education hosts the VNTU Spartakiad ‘Sport and Health’ for faculty and other university employees.
