Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman

Kyiv National Economic University Named After Vadym Hetman features the Department of Physical Education, which is staffed by lecturers representing various sports disciplines. The department conducts its operations based at the “Ekonomist” sports complex. Physical education classes are organized by specialization, including body conditioning / weight training (for men and women), swimming, basketball, association football, wellness fitness, and a special medical group.

Additionally, the university operates various recreational sections and facilities, including two fitness gyms, a swimming pool, table tennis, football, volleyball, basketball, arm wrestling, chess, draughts (checkers), darts, fitness, and a special medical group unit.

Annually, the university hosts the KNEU Student Spartakiad alongside the “Zdorovia” (Health) Spartakiad for the faculty and staff. We consistently participate in the Kyiv City Student Games, as well as in district-level competitions for both students and lecturers. KNEU students are active competitors and medalists in Ukrainian national and international championships.
