Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University

The State University of Ukraine Named After Mykhailo Drahomanov features the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, which provides specialist training in the field of physical culture and sports. In coordination with the university’s Center for Youth and Social Policy, the faculty organizes and hosts university-wide mass sports, physical culture, and wellness events. It also oversees the preparation and participation of the university’s varsity teams in international, all-Ukrainian, and municipal competitions across various sports disciplines. The academic discipline of Physical Education is conducted as an elective course with no formal assessment or grading systems. Approximately 25% of students from various faculties attend these sessions and engage in diverse sports-oriented activities. Among the institution’s notable athletic milestones, special mention must be given to the university’s women’s varsity futsal team, which is a multi-time medalist and the 2025 European Universities Futsal Champion.
