Athletic life at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine is vibrant, diverse, and dedicated to the well-rounded development of the student youth. The university has established optimal conditions for physical education, the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and the cultivation of team spirit.

The central event of the academic year is the Student Spartakiad, which features 15 sports disciplines and brings together representatives from all faculties. This tournament fosters mass participation in sports and helps identify the university’s top athletes. Additionally, cup competitions in association football and futsal are organized regularly, enjoying immense popularity among the student body.

An essential component of athletic life consists of events held in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Notably, football and volleyball competitions are organized, seamlessly blending athletic spirit with patriotic consciousness. A special place is held by the futsal memorial tournament dedicated to the memory of Serhiy Romanchuk, a fallen student, which annually unites participants in honoring his ultimate sacrifice.

Sports activities are also actively developed among dormitory residents, with dedicated competitions organized to foster cohesion within the student residential community. Furthermore, tournaments for the Cups of Faculty Deans are held regularly, stimulating healthy competition between the university’s structural divisions.

The curriculum encompasses mandatory physical education classes for first- and second-year undergraduate (bachelor’s) students, ensuring a foundational level of physical fitness. Traditional events include the “Holosiivske Kiltso” (Holosiiv Ring) track and field relay and the faculty and staff race held on University Day, both of which bring together students and lecturers alike.

Special attention is dedicated to military-athletic competitions that forge endurance, discipline, and readiness for contemporary challenges. Throughout the year, various sports events are also organized to commemorate significant historical and national dates, contributing to the nurturing of national awareness and an active civic stance.

On the whole, athletic life at NULES of Ukraine is an integral part of the educational process, facilitating the physical development of students, their socialization, and the cultivation of healthy lifestyle values.
