PJSC “Higher Education Institution “Interregional Academy of Personnel Management”

Frometivska St, 2, Kyiv, Ukraine, 03039

The Academy offers a wide selection of sports disciplines, including association football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, kickboxing, Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, arm wrestling, chess, draughts (checkers), and more. All of these sports are available to the Academy’s students. Importantly, the Academy fields both team and individual sports, allowing higher education students to find the activities that appeal to them most. Sports at the Academy not only unlock new opportunities for students’ physical development but also help cultivate essential qualities such as leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

The Academy possesses its own sports grounds and indoor halls that meet all modern requirements for safety and comfort. Experienced coaches ensure a high-quality level of instruction and student development. Students of the Academy have the opportunity to participate in international and national competitions, representing the institution and reaching new athletic heights.

Since 2019, a football arena featuring four pitches has been operational at the Academy.

On October 30, 2021, a specialized wrestling hall named after Olympic Champion Zhan Beleniuk was opened at the Academy. In 2022, the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management officially inaugurated the Elbrus Tedieiev Sports Complex—named in honor of the freestyle wrestling Olympic Champion (1996 and 2004), three-time World Champion (1995, 1999, 2002), and European Champion (1999).

Annually, the Academy hosts the All-Ukrainian Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournament in memory of the two-time champion O. L. Kolchynskyi.

Students and staff of the Academy regularly participate in charitable tournaments, such as “The Marathon No One Wants to Run,” “The World’s Longest Marathon,” and the “Vyshyvanka Run” as a gesture of gratitude to the Ukrainian heroes bringing our victory closer.

Every year, the Academy organizes spartakiads, championships, and the “IAPM President’s Cup”—competitions in chess, table tennis, streetball, association football, volleyball, and other disciplines. The games bring together representatives from all institutes of the Presidential University, as well as varsity teams from the Holosiivskyi Economic and Legal Vocational College and the Medical and Pharmaceutical College.

Additionally, in recent years, the Academy has organized the IAPM Open Championships in volleyball and football, which featured participants from various higher education institutions across the city of Kyiv.

The varsity teams of IAPM actively participate in spartakiads for students and staff of higher education institutions located in the Holosiivskyi District and the city of Kyiv. Every year, IAPM student varsity teams across various sports disciplines compete in the Kyiv City Universiades.

The educational process for core disciplines is managed by the Department of Physical Education, which was established to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among students and to nurture future specialists who are capable and eager to participate in physical culture and sports events.

The department is staffed by highly qualified lecturers with extensive experience in the field of physical education and sports. The faculty members are adept at selecting the best approach for each individual student, helping them unlock their full potential in athletic achievements.
