Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas

Since the university’s sports complex became operational, its sports clubs have produced over 15 Masters of Sports of International Class, including boxers Yuriy Bohdanov, Serhiy Michnyk, and Vitaliy Tsisyk; cyclist Olha Kharevych; football players Volodymyr Ikonnikov, Ihor Hrebinskyi, Ihor Khodubiak, and Mykola Revutskyi; Nelya Neporadna, a participant in the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing; and Khrystyna Stuy, a bronze medalist in the 4x100m relay at the XXX Olympic Games in London.

During this period, 70 students achieved the rank of Master of Sports, and over 300 individuals earned the title of Candidate for Master of Sports. The university has also produced 35 champions and 60 medalists of Ukraine.

In 2020, the reconstruction of the track and field stadium and the indoor athletics arena was completed. All spaces and facilities were renovated in compliance with international sporting requirements, featuring a state-of-the-art polyurethane track surface, a football pitch with an automated irrigation system, and an indoor athletics arena. In 2024, a major capital renovation of Sports Hall No. 1 was carried out, which now houses the Kharyton Marzahanov Freestyle Wrestling School.

The university is dedicated to the well-rounded development of its students, establishing optimal conditions for the realization of their talents, particularly in athletics. A modern track and field stadium, sports halls, and a swimming pool are accessible to students on a daily basis. The basketball team is actively developing, and the Kharyton Marzahanov Freestyle Wrestling School opens new horizons for those striving for athletic excellence and victories.
